Thanks to the support of enthusiastic readers like you, my dream has come true. I left a fast-paced career to spend time with my loved ones (aren't they ridiculously awesome? :) and pursue my lifelong passion for stories.
I'll never forget reading my first conspiracy thriller. It was like a new world had opened up to me, full of danger and intrigue and high stakes, all hidden in plain sight.
There's a strong female lead in my life :), so I wanted to write stories about a heroine, tough and tenacious but real and vulnerable and human, too.
Samantha Jameson - Sam to friends and foes alike - arrived with all the subtlety of a freight train, and life hasn't quite been the same. I'm blessed and thankful that readers seem to love her as much as I do.

About the stories
I love the intrigue and intricacy of Clancy, Le Carre, Steinhauer, and Grisham. And Daniel Silva has redefined the conspiracy and espionage genre.
I love James Patterson's pace, and Nelson DeMille's attitude makes me smile.
I've also fallen in love with a number of works by my contemporaries - it's an unbelievable honor to share the bestseller lists with them, and with the great thriller authors I've admired for years.
My first career was as a fighter pilot, and then I spent many years after that in the national defense business. If you've ever spent any time inside the Beltway, you might recognize an insider's weariness in my characters. I've had the privilege of getting to know a handful of lifelong members of the clandestine services and the FBI, and also men and women whose names can never be known. I hope my stories do them justice.
Any unflattering distortions are either my errors or purely for entertainment purposes. Every good story needs a villain or two, after all. :)
